Contest Rules and Regulations for 16 Bit's X-Ray Rho-deo

  1. Eligibility:

    This contest is open to any hospital and independant health facility that is interested in trialing 16 Bit's software medical device named Rho™. Rho is a Health Canada approved opportunistic screening tool that analyzes frontal radiographs of the lumbar spine, thoracic spine, chest, pelvis, knee, or hand performed for any clinical indication in patients aged 50 years and older. The algorithm was developed using machine learning to generate a risk score that correlates with a patient's likelihood of having low bone mineral density. The institution must have a valid medical license and be legally permitted to operate in their jursidiction.

  2. How to Enter:

    Institutions can enter the contest by submitting a completed entry form on 16 Bit's website. The entry form must include the entrant's name, email and institution's name.

  3. Prize:

    The prize for this contest is a 3-month trial of 16 Bit's software medical device named Rho. The winner will have access to all the features of Rho for the duration of the trial period. Any DXAs generated as a result of Rho being used during the trial period will not be charged even if the site wishes to remain a customer.

  4. Winner Selection:

    The top 3 and bottom 3 entrants by accuracy will be selected as prize winners on November 29, 2023 at 3:30pm from all eligible entries. The selection process will be conducted by 16 Bit, and the winner will be notified by email within five business days of the selection.

  5. Prize Conditions:

    The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. The winner must be willing to sign an agreement with 16 Bit outlining the terms and conditions of the trial period, including the DXAs generated as a result of Rho. The winner is responsible for any taxes, fees, or expenses associated with the prize. There will be no cost for installation. The winner's institution must provide the computer hardware upon which Rho will be installed. This prize is non-transferrable and has no cash value. It must be activated within 3 months of the winner(s) being notified. In jurisdictions where Rho is not yet approved by the local regulatory body, the prize must be activated within 3 months of notification that approval has been obtained.

    16 Bit will have the sole discretion to decide which jurisdiction it will pursue regulatory approval in. No cash value will be offerred in the event 16 Bit decides not to obtain approval in a jurisdiction of a selected prize winner.

  6. General Rules:

    By participating in this contest, entrants agree to abide by these rules and regulations. 16 Bit reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates the rules or is deemed inappropriate. 16 Bit also reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at any time.

  7. Privacy:

    16 Bit will collect and use personal information from entrants for the purpose of administering the contest and contacting the winner. Entrants agree to be added to 16 Bit's mailing list to which they can unsubscribe at any time. Entrants' personal information will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any third parties.

  8. Governing Law:

    This contest is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this contest shall be resolved by the courts located in Ontario.
